As an Information Technology Intern at Hilton, you will play a crucial role in supporting the IT Department’s mission to deliver high-quality IT systems for the hotel and its guests. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks and activities aimed at ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of IT services. Here is a breakdown of your job responsibilities based on the provided information:
Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Field Technology Services in India and other Field Technology Team Members within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Foster a collaborative atmosphere to promote effective communication and teamwork in IT projects and initiatives.
Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in gathering and analyzing data relevant to IT operations and projects. This may involve collecting information on system performance, user feedback, or other key metrics to inform decision-making.
MIS Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of Management Information System (MIS) reports. These reports are essential for monitoring and evaluating IT performance and ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Project Rollout Management: Support project rollout activities, which includes coordinating various aspects of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. You may be responsible for tasks like project planning, scheduling, and monitoring progress.
Change Management: Participate in change management efforts. This involves helping the IT department adapt to new technologies, processes, or procedures smoothly. You may be involved in communication and training efforts to facilitate the transition.
Training and Awareness Programs: Assist in organizing training sessions and awareness programs for staff and end-users to ensure they understand and can effectively utilize IT systems and tools.
IT Resource Management: Help organize and maintain IT resources, such as hardware, software, and documentation. Ensure that IT assets are readily available and well-maintained.
Issue Tracking: Maintain a comprehensive record of all IT issues and challenges that arise. When necessary, escalate critical issues to the IT Manager for further attention and resolution.
System Improvement Recommendations: Actively contribute to the identification and recommendation of system improvements. Share your insights with the IT Manager to enhance IT services, address inefficiencies, and align with industry best practices.
